DON'T TALK TO HIM.
That's what I tell myself right before I text him.
'HE'S ONLY GOING TO HURT YOU.' I still warn myself
before I pick up my phone. I stare at the screen
and think, 'he's not even worth it.' But me, being
my stupid-self, I flip my phone open, and I send
him a text. Sometimes I never get a reply, other -
times, we have a short conversation, then he
ignores me. and right then and there, I say:
I SHOULD'VE LISTENED TO MYSELF.
